Zaein, South Korea’s most active virtual human, was created by artificial intelligence.

With sleek hair and discreet makeup, AI Zaein can sing, read and sell luxury clothes. She’s just like a south korean star.

Zaein was created by Pulse9, which is an artificial intelligence company. Its dream is to make perfect corporate employees to the life. Pluse9 created many digital humans for some of the large south korean conglomerates. This includes Shinsegae, with research indicating the global market for such life-like creations could reach $528 billion by 2030.

South Korea is advanced in many ways from many countries regarding technology. In South Korea, AI humans have joined universities as students. There are many companies which have AI interns. You can find such AI humans on television driving sellouts of products from food to luxury handbags.

 The company’s CEO, Park Jin-eun, said, “They are working hard to bring such technology to widen AI human use.

They also added that “virtual humans can do more than what real people can do”. 

The demand for AI humans in South Korea was first driven by the K-pop industry, with the idea of creating virtual idols so that they would not indulge in scandals and the world 24/7. They were providing popularity with the country’s notoriously hard-driving music agencies.

But now, Pulse9 is expanding the roles of virtual humans. They want them to co-exist with humans as their colleagues, not just fantasy idols.

A deep learning technology created the face of the Zaein. This is an AI method in which computers process complex data of the faces of K-pop stars over the years.

Zaein has doe-eyes with dedicated features, fair skin and a willowy figure. She was made according to human actors by overlaying the deep fake technology. Zaein is made with a combination of more than ten human actors. They have taken the best talents of those actors, like singing and dancing; all this makes Zaein a perfect AI creation.

The representative of Pulse9 said the identities of all human actors are confidential, and their real faces are not disclosed.

“Real of fake”

Artificial intelligence will need real humans until the perfect AI is not developed. AI can process everything by itself without any real human need. 

ChatGPT is the potential of the AI technology that makes human work easy and fast. In recent years, ChatGPT has burst onto the scene.

Experts all over the world also talk about the danger of this technology. This may be a powerful invention, but it may cause a high risk to human life.

However, the CEO of Pulse9 Park is not concerned about the danger. They are still developing new virtual idols, virtual influencers and virtual sales agents who work for big companies. This may increase the struggle for recruitment in low-birth-rate countries.

The whole world, including South Korea, needs proper regulations on AI. They said when AI is properly used, it will add richness to life.

 The problem is that deepfakes can make it impossible to find the difference between the real and fake, according to Seoul University professor Kim Myuhng.

As we all know tech, no technology does good or worse for humans. How they use that technology for themselves depends on the humans.
