Erdogan’s Political Journey

Let us tell you that Erdogan was the mayor of Istanbul from 1994 to 1998. After this, he was elected Prime Minister in 2003. At that time, the Prime Minister was the main person in Turkish politics. However, after being PM three times, Erdogan was elected president in 2014.

Relations Between India And Turkey

However, at that time, Turkey also came along the way of this economic corridor connecting India to Europe, but it was not included. Regarding this deal, Ergodan expressed his displeasure that he was not included.

However, there has been a significant increase in trade relations between the two countries. India exported $9,600 million to Turkey in 2022–23. At the same time, India had imported 4,200 million dollars from Turkey. There was a trade of about $13,881 million between the two countries.
